I've moved two high school daughters (mid year junior transfers) to St. Mary's and could not be happier with our change. The principal and faculty are outstanding. The faculty is highly qualified and are able to meet each student where they are academically. An "A" at SMA is truly an "A". The community is welcoming and the girls are able to be themselves and thrive. St. Mary's is the #1 Catholic school in Colorado and having been elsewhere I can assure you they deserve the #1 spot. They support, guide and value the girls for who they are and who they want to be. The resources at SMA are far superior that what is offered in other schools. Take a look at the scholarship dollars and college acceptances each year that SMA girls receive. They get into the top schools in the country and scholarship dollars are quite impressive. Over 100 colleges visit SMA to recruit their students.

I had a great high school experience, I loved the all girls experience. You understand the role of a woman, and sisterhood while meeting some of the coolest people ever. The academics are great too, but there are SO many teachers that really need to go, because of how badly they teach. There is so much favoritism in the sports dept, some sports not getting ANY recognition. The arts department is also AMAZING for everything except for theatre. There is basically no support from the school (students and adminstation) and the director is kinda crazy. Its ok, but if you want a great performing arts experience don't come here. Overall, I would recommend the high school to anyone, but if you are thinking you are going to get a full high school experience, you are not. There is no big sport games everyone goes to, there are no boys to impress, and everything is mediocre (except academics). But thats what I like about, its different.
I absolutely loved my experience at SMA high school! The school does a great job of molding strong young women who are able to voice their opinions both in and out of the classroom. The teachers are extremely invested in their students and take time to build personal relationships to ensure student's success. The sports are very fun and inclusive to new players, but could be more competitive with other teams.
