I absolutely loved my experience at SMA high school! The school does a great job of molding strong young women who are able to voice their opinions both in and out of the classroom. The teachers are extremely invested in their students and take time to build personal relationships to ensure student's success. The sports are very fun and inclusive to new players, but could be more competitive with other teams.

St. Mary's is a small school, so it is very easy to get to know your peers. The academics are rigorous and challenging in a way that prepares you for college courses, and the high school teachers are friendly and encouraging. It is not very diverse in terms of race or socioeconomic status. Additionally, the abstinence-only sexual education was rife with misinformation and, even in the all-girls high school, the dress code policy was sexist and restrictive.
When it comes to academics no other school in Colorado beats SMA. Since SMA is all girls high school, there are not typical distractions that you might find in other high schools, such as male students. Due to the separate genders, greater focus is given towards academics. The teachers are phenomenal and class sizes are decently small so you can get any extra help you might need. The only pitfall is the separate genders causes a developmental delay gap when it comes to socializing with males of the same age.
