The teachers are amazing and the academics are great. They prepared me for college. But when it came to feeling heard and safe with administration, it was horrible. There is a double standard for every individual and situation and if a girl gets bullied online or in person nothing is addressed while if a boy gets one comment online outside of school everyone involved is suspended. This is a horrible environment and was the worst high school experience I could have had. Elementary part of the school is amazing and kids are cared for. High schoolers are not cared for and the teachers can only do so much. I would say K-6th grade you should attend here. Past 6th grade your child would be better off at a public school.
St. Mary is a very happy and welcoming school. The teachers are all there to help you grow in faith and education. We were able to attend mass at least once per week along with other various things. They have wonderful class opportunities with great teachers. The small class size is very helpful for learning and getting to know everyone. I would like to see the school be a little bit more strict with how they go about rules but other than that I had a great experience at Gaylord St. Mary!
St. Mary Cathedral provided an excellent education in an environment that fostered creativity, independence, and kindness. Everyone was very compassionate and welcoming, the school was like a second family.
