At a student who attended bayview For many years, I have seen many changes in the way it is ran. As a student who truly enjoyed my time at bayview, I am going to write and honest review.

As far as academics, I was extremely prepared for college. The teachers were excellent. They boast about their science and math programs, but honestly they are not all that great. If anything the history, English, and language departments are far stronger and the teachers are excellent.

There is definitely a lot of favoritism for certain sports teams (basketball, crew) & the students who participate in those sports are clear favorite of the administration. As an athlete, I experienced this first hand.

The girls at this school are for the most part very welcoming. The stereotype that an all girls education is full of drama is false. I barely even noticed that it was an all girls school. If anything I felt like it was better than a co-Ed school.

At first I was very hesitant to join Bayview. It's an all girls school, each class is an hour and a half, there's uniforms. In 9th grade , (this year) I finally decided to go. Honesty, this was the best decision I've ever made. Not only was I improving academically, but I was also experiences changes with who I was as a person. Within weeks, I was becoming more independent, feeling better and more confident about myself, and over all being stronger than ever. The transition was tough at first since I transferred mid- semester, but the staff and students supported me so much and made me feel welcome. Being at an all girls school, I expected there to be tons of drama. But there has been barely any! Everyone was is kind and accepting of each other. I love the atmosphere at bayview! I totally recommend going here at least for high school, there are so many opportunities and the experience at this school is life changing.
I've been at Bay View since Pre-K, and overall my experience has been pretty average. The education here compared to other schools is definitely more advanced and rigorous, which is great, but as I've seen Bay View grow over the years, I've also seen things go downhill. There have been numerous problems with administration and the athletics throughout the last few years. The environment is not always the best and I often feel judged for no reason. Although the school has its downsides, I do feel prepared for college and that I have the proper communication tools to help me succeed in life and in the workplace, which is all that matters in the end.
