SLS is a special place. For students, it's where teachers know you and care about how you are getting along : socially, emotionally, and academically. It's where kindness matters. And, while the SLS students are given the tools to go out into the world as leaders, they are also taught to be kind and inclusive ones.

My son entered in the fifth grade and graduated high school last spring. He has formed relationships with his teachers that were transformative, encouraging him to go deeper in his learning and getting him excited about areas of study or extra curricular activities that he did not consider his particular strength. Watching him thrive and form life long friendships with his peers and teachers was worth every penny. Also, he was well prepared and is thriving at one of the most elite colleges in the country...and he is happy there. We couldn't ask for any more!

I love St. Luke's because of their true investment in giving you the best education. They do very well in providing out of the box opportunities. For example, I am studying abroad in Switzerland for the fall semester. They encourage you to follow your dreams before anything else. They also provide a healthy environment where academic achievement is praised and important. I am excited to complete high school at such a wonderful community.
There is an intangible at this school that is difficult to articulate. Perhaps it is a genuine kindness, or politeness seems to be pervasive. Often, when you enter the school, a student, also entering, will hold the door open, look you in the eye and say good morning. There is a culture of mutual respect and a genuine sincerity that is fostered by everyone who enters. Students engage equally in the arts and in sports with the encouragement of their friends and it is also cool to be smart. Students encourage one another at every level - in town hall meetings, on the basketball court, in the commons. The Parents Association events are engaging and fun and foster a sense of community among parents from different towns and walks of life. St. Luke's celebrates what makes each family different and those things we have in common. Even the food is fantastic! The most important thing I can say about St. Luke's is that our children are thriving and happy.
