I love my high school. All of the teachers and staff are so supportive and will go out of their way to assist you in any way you need. They greet you when you first step into the school, always reach out to you during the day, and say goodbye when leaving. St. Lawrence Central have many opportunities for students to get involved and try something new. We have ever expanding sports teams, several after-school clubs, food drives to help students and town-people in need, and many choices for elective classes to fill your schedule. The community is so close-knit that everyone is so friendly. The only problem with the school is the upcoming middle school students. Many of these students don't care if they are disciplined and it makes it hard for the teachers and staff, and many students. This isn't a problem caused by the school, just a cultural problem nowadays with many children. All around, anyone in this district would do anything to help others in need, which is why I love Brasher!
I would like to see the priority of enjoyment for students to rise. Our school is mainly focused on being strict and problem free for the administration, when in reality the outcome is the students to be overtaken by problems as they treat us like kindergartners and there nothing but sports to enjoy.
My experience with St. Lawrence High School is overall very good. The majority of the teachers and staff are fun, friendly and easy to connect with. The staff really does try to make this the best high school experience you can possibly have. They care about your personal life and try to help you with anything any way that they can. The majority of the teachers are very good at doing so and put in the effort to help ensure that you as a student understand what's going on. However what I would like to see change is the amount of help you get when preparing for college and better guidance counselors. College is rarely spoken about and you pretty much have to figure it all out on your own. As for guidance counselors, they aren't very helpful. They don't really listen to the students' needs or help try to answer the students' questions or concerns.
