St. Kevin Catholic School Reviews
This school feels like a family. The teachers are very kind and fun, and each grade level gets the opportunity to shine. The school, however, could improve on rigor of education.
St. Kevin offered a wide varieties of clubs and sports. Sports ranged from the most basics offered in most schools to having separate teams per grade point level, one for elementary JV k-3, JV 4-5, and then the varsity sports for grades 6-8. The environment encourages students to be athletes and to be involved in more than one sport. The amount to flubs let one be able to join whatever interests them. The variety yet not overwhelming amount led to many students joining a multitude of clubs, and able to be an active participate in all. Since it was a religious school, clubs were made that involved teaching those interested in helping at the mass, from alter serving to being a campus minister and reading at mass.
The safety at St. Kevin was assured. The teachers would make sure to have all students accounted for, and have all measures of safety had a situation present itself. In the school, the students were not allowed to have phones on them, being an issue for some parents. Cameras were placed all around the school and problems such as bullying were monitored by teachers who one could go up to if they had a problem and they would be very understanding and helpful. Since the school is so small, there were no threats that couldn't be handled safety and quickly. The size of class helps to ensure that no one is left out or forgotten.
