I’ve went to St. Joseph High School for ten years. My experience here as been amazing and I hate to leave this amazing, family-oriented, overall great learning place at the end of this school year. This is a place where I want my future children and grandchildren, and so on and so forth, to be able to come and learn at. No one is treated differently at St. Joseph. We are all children of God and ‘all bleed the same’. The groups such as beta, 4-H, yearbook, choir, and all of our sports are such well working partners and we have each other’s backs. Overall, St. Joseph is a wonderful learning facility with great falculty and staff that work with each student, individually, to make sure they have what they need and are learning what they should.
I have been given the tools to succeed in life, not only in college, but in the real world. The classes are small which gives the teacher more one on one time with the students to make sure they are getting all the information needed in each subject. Everyone knows everyone at the school because it is a small school, making it more like one big family rather than a school. When something has happened to one student (death in the family, house fire, wreck, etc.), the entire student body pulls together to help in any way possible to make it better for that student.
Some of the teachers use a "hands on" approach involving the students in debates, experiments, etc. It brings a new understanding to the matter we are learning about at that time. They take an active interest in our futures, and helping the students achieve the goals we set for the future. They have an open door policy where the students can speak openly with concerns to the teachers without fear of looking unintelligent, or retaliation if it is something they feel may upset the teacher.
