My experience was the same, but different from others experience. At Saint Joseph High School, I was involved in many different clubs and sports teams. Being a smaller school we did not have many people to have a full roster or enough to keep clubs going throughout the year. But, in a way this was a positive, because it brought us all closer together. We became a family.
Entering high school, I remember hearing "it's a family environment". They were not wrong. By having smaller sports teams, clubs and classes, it helped us all come together. I can not walk down the hallway and not know someones name, or what sport they play or interests. If I need help in a class or have a question about something I know that I can go to any of my fellow classmates and they can help me out. Saint Joseph High School is definitely a family environment, and it gave me the best four years of high school.

St. Joseph’s is a great high school. The teachers are great and it is very involved and personal with it’s students. It’s a small school so getting to know people is not hard. I’d like to see better funding go towards arts programs and fixing small issues, such as the occasional leak but otherwise the school is great. Swipe access cards were just added so security is great and new classes are being added in every year.
Amazing environment and very small school. But the academics are declining. The school does not deal with bullying situations, rather dismisses them.
