Our Washington State certified teachers emphasize a core curriculum of language arts, literature, mathematics, social studies, science, technology, and religion.

Our academic excellence is reflected in our strong MAP Test scores. We consistently rank higher than 95% of schools across the nation.

Small class sizes create the best learning environment for students.

Class sizes range from 18 to 22 students which allows teachers to work with small groups. Instructional assistants provide additional classroom support in grades K-5.

Strong teacher-parent collaboration enriches the educational experience and community feeling.

All families enrich our environment by volunteering within the community. Activities include: working in the classroom, coaching CYO sports, leading Scouts or the Chess Club, helping in parish ministries, and coordinating school events.

We offer extended care before and after school and bus service between campuses.

We have been at SJS for 4 years with 3 children currently attending: 2nd grade, Kinder, and Young4s. We cannot say enough about the supportive academic environment St Joseph provides. We have one child who struggles with reading and writing; each step of the way, since preschool, they have been there to assist. The school has gone above and beyond to connect with our child's tutors, set up meetings to discuss progress, draw up level-appropriate modification plans, and help her see her successes. What a gift this has been!

Aside from the academic focus, SJS has taught our children about the Golden Rule - this has carried over in such enriching ways, teaching them true empathy.

We would recommend St Joseph School to any family looking for a small, private school setting with individualized attention to academic excellence.

What a blessing SJS has been to our family and children!

We currently have two children at SJS and couldn’t be happier! Unlike many schools, this school has the ability to teach to our children’s individual level/pace of learning. Allowing them to move forward when ready. In addition, they are teaching our children to be kind, contributing members of society. The SJS community is extremely strong and helpful, as well as the amazing administration and educators. I would highly recommend SJS to anyone hoping to raise a smart, caring, confident human!
We have two St. Joe’s graduates and both were extremely well-prepared for high school, and had a very positive experience at St. Joe’s. They made lasting friendships, were encouraged to serve their community, and had great teachers. Our oldest graduates from high school this year and is heading to UW in the fall, and our younger is academically thriving in high school. They look back on their experiences at St. Joe’s with fondness. We are grateful to St. Joe’s!
