I believe my school, Saint Joe’s, is a well rounded school. We have awesome clubs to participate in, exceptional sports, and amazing staculty to teach us! We are like a small community; a family. Everyone knows each other. I feel very accepted at this school and I couldn’t see myself anywhere else. I am very grateful for having this opportunity of seeking higher education. I appreciate learning and discussing my faith. I enjoy having smaller classrooms. Personally, I excel learning this way, so I am glad I do not attend a public high school. We have the best food in the WHOLE wide world. I can not eat it anymore due to my newly discovered food allergies and intolerances, but it makes me appreciate even more. I feel like our high school is the best on the central coast- clubs, sports, and academics. I am still in high school, which unfortunately is filled with unnecessary drama, but I am proud to be a Knight and will always be proud to represent my school.

As a student, I am disappointed that we are going to have uniforms and the tuition just keeps getting higher. Our athletics teams are very competitive, even with top public schools, but we lack some facilities (softball field, pool, etc.) which makes practice and games difficult for those athletes. Most of the teachers and students are really nice. If I was an incoming freshman, I would probably choose not to attend St. Joseph because of the financial strain on my family and the dress code.
My experience at St. Joe’s has been average. The academics and courses are rigorous and prepare students for four year universities. The school provides many opportunities to decide which college you would like to attend. In addition, it is a small school, and the students and faculty are a tight-knit community. Everyone is supportive of the sports teams and other students in general. Most of the teachers and administrators are approachable and easy to talk to. The sports programs are very well supported by the school and the rest of the community. However, there are few things I would change. I would love to see more variety in AP courses and the addition of IB courses as well. I would also like to see more support for girls sports; as of right now most of the support from faculty and the community is geared towards the boys sports.
