St. Joseph Elementary School Reviews

I graduated from here in 1995 & I got the best education. I was well prepared for high school, Fontbonne Academy. The staff was strict, but fair. Students were expected to follow the rules; holding a door for the person behind them, during class time raise your hand to speak etc. At recess, we had parent volunteers & teachers who watched closely, "bullying" (which wasn't even a term then) was stopped in its tracks. Of course 6-8 were tough, socially, girls can be mean. But, thankfully, the staff & principal listened and they even asked me what I felt would be the best way to handle the situation. Again, I cannot stress enough, how, back then the parents listened to the teachers & realized when their child's behavior did need correcting. Parents & teachers made sure things were consistent, the rules at school were carried on at home. Maybe edited slightly since it was home, but there was consistency.
mice run around the school kids behave bad school is in horrible condition leave this place. they have a really bad way of dealing with bad kids and give punishments to people who were being affected of them instead of the people who did it
this school is in horrible financial condition so it will shutdown soon anyway

Terrible management overall. School looks unsanitary, restrooms reek, they have not done any updates at all. For all the money they charge, this school should be in much better condition. School work is of a book and ripped pages of the book is homework for the most part. There is little organization and the staff is not the most pleasant if you express any concerns.
The nurses are great, cant say the same for most of the faculties with the exception of very few and that includes the assistants.
