Saint Joseph was a very inclusive school. There is no discrimination against the students from any background a child may have grown up in. Sports coaches are very serious about their jobs although and won’t let their athletes participate in after school clubs. Which should change in the future so the athletes can grow into well rounded individuals. They have a wide variety of sports ranging from archery to sailing. Also the swim team are state champions. I recommend participating! They read over the announcements facts about black history in February. Also Saint Joe annually holds an hour long black history dedication show students produced and directed. The rules are very strict and teachers enforce them at all times. They are only preparing you for the real world though. Saint Joe is another family away from home and I recommend attending.

Recently St. Joe has been stepping up game in various areas. New sports have been added, buses have been purchased, the cafeteria staff has been making an effort in providing better lunches, academic courses are becoming more rigorous, etc. . .

However, as a student, my overall experience at Saint Joe has been filled with ups and downs. Socially, St. Joe is like every other school out there. There have been great moments at St. Joe but those moments do not outweigh the bad moments. Do not assume that the Catholic ideology will ensure that every child is protected from bullying. I was genuinely surprised at the lack of kindness that was showed by not only most of the students but teachers and other staff members as well.

You must find your own group of friends in order to make this a good place for you.
Catholic education is priority for our family! The quality of the education, along with a warm, caring atmosphere centered on faith, love and service is something we truly value!
