SJS is an excellent school. We were overwhelmed with the family-like community not only with other parents but with the faculty and administration. The Catholic identity is evident in all aspects of the curriculum. Teachers are always willing to help. Our older child has graduated from SJS and was well prepared for high school. He was accepted to all high schools he applied to, was offered academic scholarships, and was enrolled in Honors and AP classes. Our middle daughter currently attends SJS. She has risen to the challenge as I have seen the curriculum change since my son was a student. SJS continues to modify the curriculum to differential learners. I can only imagine how well prepared my daughter will be for high school.

I went to SJS from K-6th Grade and used the learning resource center as I have ADD. The racial diversity at least when I went there was not great. Keep in mind I am a high school senior now so this was 6ish years ago. I can say though that every thing gets banned by the time I left pokemon cards, flower hair clips, and those rubber bands that were shaped like animals were all banned. It was also very clicky. I think that this school can be great for some kids but for others giving them worksheets does not teach them anything.
Focus on Catholic Community, academic excellence and self discipline. Well rounded education in core subjects, electives, language, art, performance, ecology, social awareness.
