I transferred out of this school and I'm thankful I did. The teachers did not care for you, they were rude and rarely offered extra help. The students had their own designated groups and often excluded others. Although the school is pretty and big, it is not worth it. Students smoke in the bathroom and make out behind staircases. So many students were expelled from my class because they would smoke weed and skip class. Students were disrespectful and wild. They did have a good selection of food and currently have a ping pong table for students to use and that's pretty fun. They really don't prepare their students for college but you would think so since it is a college preparatory high school. I wouldn't suggest this school to anyone just because they don't really do anything for you education. This school is literally a public school that you pay to go to and wear uniform.

I loved my 4 years at SJP! I wish I could go back. They’re a really strict school, and I actually thought they wouldn’t be because of all the stories you hear outside of school.
Honestly they don’t tolerate bullying, it’s dealt with ASAP. They definitely don’t tolerate fighting or drugs, just ask any student who was kicked out because of it.
The teachers are pretty tough, but you know they care about you to succeed. You have the best experience at SJP by being involved. Students are nice, you’ll make friends pretty quick. The secretaries are extremely nice, always there for us, they’re very motherly and make you feel safe.
Fr. Liju is the chaplain, he’s the best. He is funny, sincere He doesn’t judge you no matter what you tell him. He always says “Keep smiling and have a wonderful day”
4 years goes by quick. You don’t get the same love in college as we did at St John’s. If I had to do it over again, I’d choose them again!
St. John's Prep has a very positive atmosphere. They make great efforts to help you become a better student and a better person. They offer afterschool tutoring and all the teachers provide extra help. The school also makes a great effort to make all the events special and fun. They celebrate everyone in the school, from athletes to performing arts students. The food in the cafeteria is really good as well and they have different options every day for everyone.
