St. John's is providing an excellent academic and social environment for our children in middle school. They were not being challenged as much as they needed in our local public school, so we switched from MCPS, and couldn't be happier. They are not only challenged academically at St. John's, but they are also encouraged to think on a deeper level about their faith, which is important to our family. Opportunities abound for involvement in leadership activities, the arts and athletics. The small school setting allows all the children to get to know each other, no matter what grade they're in, so it feels more like a big family. We love that STJES is also teaching them life skills such as talking to their teachers/adults, public speaking, respecting one another, as well as advocating for themselves. Additionally, there is an emphasis on community service within and outside of the school throughout the year. It's been a great experience, and we're very thankful to have found St. John's!

Our three daughters started at St. John’s 2 years ago, when our family moved to the area. Our kids love St. John’s and as parents, my wife and I are very pleased with the School. Our kids are encouraged and challenged on a daily basis by a positive community of learners. As new students our kids were welcomed with open arms. We love the Schools diversity and absence of any sense of entitlement. We thoroughly investigated all of the Schools in the Olney and Potomac areas and St.Johns stood out for its academic rigor, arts programs and character building approach. It represents real VALUE in today’s private school market. Our family strongly recommends STJES!
We are so pleased with our choice of St. John's for our daughter. The school is an excellent example of diversity, academic excellence and character for all students. A welcoming atmosphere and small class sizes allow all students to flourish. St. John's 8th grade graduates are known to be the best prepared for high school, and many earn scholarships to the school of their choice. Come visit St. John's and experience what so many families know. This school is the best investment you can make in your children!
