St. John’s College High School was a great experience for me. The community is vibrant and welcoming to all, and there is always something exciting going on. St. John’s is an athletic power house, to say the least. The school is filled with serious athletes who work hard to bring glory to our school’s name, and students are always attending games and other sporting events! The teachers, just like the student athletes, are hardworking. They are always there for students to give advice and offer assistance with their studies, along with preparing the students for college and the challenges life will throw their way. There is truly no school like St. John’s, and I would absolutely recommended my high school to anyone!
My time at SJC was transformative. Entering school, I was unsure as to what I was getting into. I had attended public school my entire life until then, and I was not fully aware of the differences. One change was the inability to talk as much during class. I went from a rambunctious environment, full of outward--not always positive--uniqueness and eccentricity, to one that did not resemble this at all; my high school, while it accepted and praised individuality as an institution, was a place where the student body had a distinct identity that was highly judgmental--as any high school is--and it was an identity that took me awhile to comprehend. That being said, once I began to understand it, I started enjoying myself there. The transition took time, but I am grateful for my parents' and my decision to go to Saint John's. It was a time where I had trustworthy adults who guided me in the right direction. I can say without a doubt that anyone who applies themselves there can flourish.
St. John's is a very welcoming place and I have enjoyed my time there! I feel safe and happy, while their extracurricular activities are very much enjoyable and helpful. I have made great memories and a group of wonderful friends!
