St. John's Academy Reviews
Hands down the best! My kids thrive here. The smaller classes make a huge difference. The students form meaningful, strong, lasting friendships across the grades. You will frequently see students of all different ages happily playing together, and several hugs as older and younger students pass eachother between classes. After school clubs and activities include: Bricks for Kids, First Tee, science, Spanish, Latin, sewing, art, basketball workshops, cross country team, and guitar. The school actively engages in Mock Trial, science fairs, speech competitions, spelling bee, and more. Security is a top priority, including armed security officers. Administration is easy to talk to and genuinely care about you and your family. They also actively listen when you have a concern and address it immediately. Students stand when you enter the room, are polite, make eye-contact, are morally and spiritually sound, and strive for academic excellence.
Since Middle School was so long ago, I don't specifically remember, but my middle school experience was not very enjoyable. The children were not welcoming and I was constantly wrongly accused by teachers and even the principal for doing bad things. I think that the school has improved over the years but my experience was something I do not recall as a positive one. There was also no sports teams or clubs to join and the facilities were not ideal.
They did not care one bit about my child. Not a loving place. Fake Christian values! Over-priced. They do not provide lunch OR a safe way of transportation to field trips. Parents feel like outsiders. The teachers are not nice. The front office is usally very rude. The safety is lacking at this school A kindergartener ran out of the gate into the road! They have crooks sitting on the board of directors. Complaints go unheard and emails go unanswered by the leadership. The shows for the students are not enjoyable for the kids. The music director and art are seriously off base and not good at all. Barely any sports.
