St. John started out promising for our son two years ago, but now we are growing more and more disappointed and alarmed. His Pre-AP and AP classes are huge with about 30 students in them. We were promised small classes, but that has not been the case. My son is interested in more upper-level classes, but the school does not offer many electives unless you like art or religion. To us, the school is too focused on Catholicism and not enough on educating students for college. While our son has made friends and likes the small size of it, he is discouraged by the lack of opportunities and lack of diversity in thought. Kids who are not extremely conservative are ridiculed for their opinions. Not exactly a Christian way of living!

St. John XXIII promised to be all about educating myw whole child and it has lived up to that promise. My child who is graduating has found friendships, has been challenged academically and athletically, has learned about their faith and has learned how to serve others. It is a great school! Go Lions!
St. John XXIII has been heaven sent for our family. Our eldest daughter was bullied in Public School and the Administration in the Public System took no real steps to resolve our problems or contact the parents of the children involved. Our Daughter has blossomed at St. John making many new friends, becoming involved in all sorts of clubs and activities, being accepted for who she is, and not having to worry about being discriminated because of her Catholic Faith and morality. The teachers and administration actually care for the well being of their students and don't see them as simply a number or a dollar amount. Simply put this is a place for our children to grow in faith, grow in knowledge, and grow into responsible young adults.
