First off, I had the time of my life here. However, I have no idea in the world how this school won a National Blue Ribbon TWICE?! Some of the teachers have no enthusiasm and are very over worked with too many classes with too many students. Too much emphasis spent on Language Arts, and a subpar math department that does not prepare students for high school. The foreign language program is a joke, learning Spanish for 40 minutes once a week is a waste of time. But I will give the school one thing, they know how to have fun when. And Mrs. Lakomy runs an amazing science class for middle school, the school would fall apart without her.

My 2 boys have been going to SJRCS for 8 years and we couldn't be happier! They are challenged every day in their classes and are learning to be respectful, community focused and confident individuals. The teachers focus on teaching the students in a variety of ways to enhance the learning experience. We would highly recommend SJRCS!
We have been at SJRCS since my oldest was in PK3. We have had an excellent experience. The teachers genuinely seem to care about the students and any behavioral issues are dealt with quickly. They provide more challenging work to those who need it. Third grade has been my son's best year yet. He absolutely loved his teacher and she really tried to make learning an active and engaging experience. Additionally, when the pandemic struck, SJRCS seamlessly pivoted to an online learning platform. While the public schools in our area took two weeks off, we started learning new material on Monday morning. The teachers really tried to keep everyone on track and moving forward.
