Academically great. Challenges the student and prepares them for the next grade. Some of the teachers are great. The one in charge doesn’t handle bullying too well. A lot of picking and choosing who should be the blame instead of making all parties involved learn from the situation. She’s not the kindest person to have to deal with and doesn’t show respect toward certain people. Also the older woman who works in before and after care has a really serious problem with yelling. She always has an attitude and almost every time I’ve ran into this woman, she’s yelling at someone’s child. She needs to learn how to speak to children. She seems to get easily annoyed and doesn’t have the patience to deal with children.
I love that it is a small private school and the children know most of their classmates parents. I have had positive experiences with the faculty and staff. My older children attend a public high school and have expressed that they are learning in 9th grade what was already taught to them in 8th grade at JPII. I would like to see the school receive funds to update the school so they can use other resources to prepare the children for the future.
My daughter began middle school there this year and we’ve been very impressed with the academics. The teacher really took her under their wings and helped her along and we’ve seen her bloom academically. She gets the attention she would not get at our local publuc school.
