I came to Saint John Neumann as a sophomore! The school itself and the students there are so welcoming it was so easy for me to find my group of friends. Everyone just wanting to make sure my transition to Neumann was nothing, but easy! The academics are excellent. They offer a very wide variety of classes to chose from! I would definitely recommend this school to any high school student looking to find their new home.
It is a great school and a great community! You feel really welcomed there. It is really easy to make new friends and there are so many opportunities presented there for you. My faith has definitely grown while going to this school and my relationships have definitely become stronger, and with it being a smaller school, you basically know everyone and always have someone to go to for help, whether it be a teacher or a student.
I would recommend St. John Neumann to someone if they fit in with the general school culture (high emphasis in Catholicism, academics, and sports), but really only if you fall into that category. While I do believe in a high emphasis in academics, and while I’m not great at sports I believe if you’re good and out in good effort you should do it, I don’t really have a high emphasis in Catholicism. Mainly because I am not Catholic. This can lead to feeling out of the loop, and while there are a few open-minded students, or students who are willing to listen, there is still a vast majority of students who would rather not care about anyone else’s opinion. But the school does have a rigorous curriculum in its honors and AP classes, and they recently have added new electives for students to choose. The teachers and administration is also willing to help students with their problems, whether they are academic or life related.
