St. James High School has been an excellent place for me to grow from a child to a scholarly adult. As someone enthusiastic about learning and academics, St. James offers a wide multitude of classes, many of which are AP/Honors level. SJHS has also allowed me to grow as a student with its passionate teachers who genuinely care about their students and growth; my teachers have always been available for issues I have had regarding class, college, or even personal struggles. While some diversity may be minimal, it is a place that I have seen a wide range of personalities coexist and thrive off each other. Similarly, its broad range of clubs allow for all students to find friends with like interests. These groups along with attentive counselors have led me to life-changing camps and programs outside of the school that I may learn beyond the classroom and even outside the local area. Graduating in a few months, I will miss SJHS and always been grateful for my time there. Go Sharks!!

I have been attending Saint James High School for the past 4 years and I wouldn't change my decision on going there to get my high school education. Our principal is one of the best in the district and he is compassionate about his job while putting his students and faculty first. Some people may overlook our school because we are a fairly new school, but we have had more success than all the others through educational purposes and athletics. We also have the best resource officers in the area as they care about our safety and make sure that the students continue to stay safe and do the right thing. If we could change something in our school, it would probably be the teachers that work there or the curriculum that is being taught to us because kids tend to fall asleep depending on the class.
My experience at Saint James High was ,for the most part, a good experience. I wish the school would give more to the art programs. Our theatre program as to fund raise for everything we need to put in a production. I would like to see the school give more to the art programs and support them more than they are now. But other than that my school is a friendly place to learn. The teachers are there to not only teach you but to support you through your choices in the academic world and in the real world. I have developed many friendships with my past and present teachers at Saint James and I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other school.
