Saint Francis is a wonderful high school in Traverse City, MI. There a 2 large public high schools on Traverse City and my daughter, who is an average student that participates in sports and extra curricular activities, was essentially overlooked in such a large student populated setting. You either have to be highly intelligent or a behavioral risk to get face time with counselors and administration. Saint Francis, on the other hand, has the perfect setting and she is able to meet with her counselor whenever she needs to and the administration is truly there to support the education of all its students, both academically, spiritually and socially. They prepare the entire person for what lies ahead for them in the future.

I attended Saint Francis (all of the GTACS school system) my entire life. Overall my personal experience was good, but I know many people haven't had the best experiences. As time goes on, different policies seem to be stricter, however, having already graduated, I can't speak on the current status of how things are.
St. Francis high school is one out of four schools in gtacs (grand traverse area catholic schools). Different from the local public schools, St. Francis provides a strong student teacher relationship. You're not just a number here, you're family. Teachers will push you harder and harder to be ready for college and actual life away from school. The faculty and staff are rarely seen with a frown on their faces and will never turn down a student in need of help. On the other hand... the food provided at St. Francis High School is rather awful. The portions are off and you can tell they paid bottom dollar for the mush they call "food". Other than that my experience at St. Francis has been a good one where I found myself and my true friends all while perusing my acedemic and athletic career.
