I have attended Saint Francis for one semester and so far I’ve had a great time! The school is a welcoming and friendly environment that makes me feel safe to find a path for myself. We have more than fifty clubs and committees, our sports teams are top-notch, and the school curriculum is college-level. Our campus is absolutely gorgeous and the cafeteria food is so good! We make sure to clean up after ourselves because a clean campus is a reflection of how we take pride in our school. I believe the school should work on diversity and celebrating different cultures. I believe the school can do more to bring out diversity in their student body. If you plan on applying here, be aware that the application process is very selective (interviews, high test scores, 3.5+ GPA) and less than 30% get in. They look for students who want to contribute to their community and bring good change to the world. Overall, this school is amazing and I am proud to be a lancer!
Amazing school! This school has everything one could want in a high school. I’m genuinely surprised at the criticisms given and will address them in my review.
1.) There have been multiple reviews about the teachers being hit-or-miss or just being really bad in general. In my experience, this couldn’t be further from the truth. All of my teachers cared about each of their students and if I were to rate each teacher out of 5, no teacher would fall below a 3, and that’s being harsh (most will fall in the 3.5-4 range).
2.) Regarding diversity issues, as a person-of-color, I have felt no problems at this school; however, I am not black or hispanic so experiences may differ.
3.) Sure, the food may not be amazing, but that’s a universal school problem and shouldn’t be a reason for not coming here (but the ice-cream is really good).
I am glad I made the decision to come here and I hope others do the same!

I'm surprised at all the wonderful ratings. I know many people who did like it but I know more people who did not. The school has great academics, sports, arts, programs and facilities for sure. However, it seems as though theres too much focus on the showiness of good sports teams, great facilities, but not much effort in terms of students wellbeing such as emotional/academic counseling, listening to student concerns, random strict rules that have no substance to them. So while the activities and college acceptance rates are great, the atmosphere of student holistic wellbeing is lacking in my opinion. School image shouldn't sacrifice student well being. If you are a person struggling with mental health issues especially, I've seen very poor handling of students with those issues.
