In 2005, the founders of St. Elizabeth’s School recognized the ongoing lack of opportunity faced by many of the young people growing up in our country’s marginalized communities. Their struggles were perpetuated by a lack of access to affordable high-quality education. The founders also believed that the solution to this educational disparity would be found within socio-economically, racially, and culturally inclusive and collaborative classrooms, and so they built them from the ground up.
The school’s mission is critical, today more than ever. It takes all of us working together, compassionately challenging one another, to affect great change. This is not accomplished by simply respecting our differences... we celebrate them! This is achieved by uplifting each individual student to realize a truly transformative education, actively leaning into important conversations that broaden mindsets, and holding ourselves accountable by dismantling systems that perpetuate inequality.

St. Elizabeth's School Reviews
Our daughter has been there for first and second grade, starting during a time when DPS was shut down due to COVID. (St. Elizabeth's had such incredible leadership, staff and community that it was able to stay open.) She has excelled there. We feel that her emotional, psychological, intellectual, artistic and physical needs are all more than met by the school, and are truly impressed by the absolute quality of her overall education.
Beyond the education is the school itself, which upholds values that are extremely important to our family. The sliding scale tuition ensures true socio-economic diversity. The focus on social impact, diversity, inclusion, equality and empowerment is so refreshing – and genuine. And the staff and faculty! It would be harder to find kinder, smarter and more dedicated people anywhere.
Let's put it this way: we've stayed in Denver for this school.
St. E’s prepared my boys well to thrive academically in high school and college. Just as importantly, the school taught them how to be effective citizens in the multiracial democracy we are struggling to become.
While private schools try to diversify, the difficulty of paying tens of thousands of $$ often makes such a goal elusive. St. E’s tackles this problem with a tiered tuition model, which supports a private school student body that actually looks like 21st Century America.
On the playground and in classrooms at St. E's, you’ll see an inclusive mix of kids from all kinds of racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. While that might seem tricky on the surface, St. E’s has clearly gotten the kids’ buy-in to the idea that if someone looks or does things differently than you do…cool!
