St. Elizabeth School Reviews
Rating 4.06 out of 5 124 reviews
St. Elizabeth School provides attending students with a small Catholic community and a decent religious education. The staff was, for the most part, kind and respectful, and provided a good support structure for students. While the community was tight-knit, the level of education offered was not up to standard of other nearby schools. There was a significant lack in the diversity of courses, and compared to surrounding schools, this lack showed quite significantly. There are few AP courses offered, and the arts and music department is not treated with its due respect. Being a Catholic school, diversity was also quite lacking - there were few students of color or lgbt+ students, and those that were there were not treated incredibly well. The clubs and sports offered were fairly decent, but as student population has been dropping, the availability of said clubs and sports has dropped as well.
There are many things to be said for Saint Elizabeth High School. The small environment allows for a close, familial feel, and I can say I know everyone in my graduating class. It also offers a good range of programs, sports, and classes. There is also an ease in connect with teachers and communicating issues with administrative staff. Nearly all teachers respond to emails quickly. I would not change much about the school, but I would’ve liked more AP classes, along with teachers who are more comfortable with the subject matter he or she is teaching. The arts programs also could be better supported and funded.
As coronavirus ended my tenure at Saint Elizabeth High School, I endured its troubling lows, to its flourishing highs. The school community has a mixed community that embraces all races together. The students bond with one another while the teachers are respected among my peers. The extracurricular activities and programs were average, but essential to the learning and enjoyed of the high school. Communication is the one major aspect that needed improvement for the school as there we many occasions where there would be distress among students with further backup from the administration. Overall, my tenure at Saint Elizabeth was successful and memorable. I was able to make friends that I will cherish throughout my whole life, along with being provided with a high ended education system that has prepared me for my future in college.
