St. Edward Elementary School Reviews

My son attended St. Edward since he was 5 years old; he learned to "Be your best and do what is right", now he is graduating from Duke University with double major and a minor after been accepted in different colleges like Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Coastal Carolina, and more. In my personal opinion there are no good or bad schools, good or bad teachers, what there are are creative children, our children, with an enormous capacity of amazement that allows them to perceive the beautiful, the exceptional, and the impressive in everything that surrounds us. That contributes to their happiness, their creativity and motivation and they become capable of finding solutions to problems when they grow up. Teachers at St. Edward School manage to project significant learning in children using different strategies and adapting them to each experience, and thus, they lead our children along the path of curiosity to know, of having the opportunity to acquire knowledge and discover wonderful things.

St. Edward Elementary School was not very competitive to me. There was not enough competition academically. Sports seemed more important and parent involvement was out of control. Too many lass parties for any and everything, time could have been used better for other activities like the science fair maybe. I was there since kindergarten and never even heard them mention a science fair. History Bee stopped once the teacher left. Overall I was an honor student. I am still an honor student in high school.
I have been a member of St. Edward for several years. The teaching staff is top notch. I couldn't ask for a better community. My children have made life long friends. My children have went on to Catholic High School where they continue to flourish. I have no doubt this is due to the foundation given to them say St. Edward. It has often been referred to as "The Hidden Gem". Go see for yourself.
