So many positive changes have occurred in the past 5 years thanks to strong leadership. The curriculum has been updated, staff is held accountable, the cleanliness of the school and grounds has dramatically improved and it seems to be financially in good shape. Go Gaels!
Overall, St. Edmond Catholic School is a wonderful environment for academic and spiritual learning. However, it is not the best fit for everyone. It boasts a wonderful set of professional teachers, but lacks in diversity. St. Edmond's provides great academic learning that is above average compared to the state. It also has a wonderful music department that truly cares about everyone. One thing to note is that administrators are often swayed by particular "legacy" families, which can lead to issues with equality within the school.
I have gone to school at St. Edmonds since I was in preschool. I have learned so much and the school has given me a great education. One example is the class sizes are small but the school values are big. The teachers want you to succeed. So they will use their own time outside of school to help make sure you understand a lesson if you are struggling with something new. One thing I would like to see improved is the school listening to recommendations from the students. You bet we want to better the school. Most students are very involved. I played multiple sports over my years. I want the school to truly last and I think it will!
