The school all together is full of pride and spirit. Theres a feeling of comfort in every classroom. Almost all of the teachers are always down to help you. The only thing I would say should be changed is the way the students and coaches treat certain students. You have to be well known in the area to make it onto a team. The coaches won't even consider you if they aren't very familiar with you or your family. The students are very "clique-y". They don't open their eyes to other people to be friends with. They only focus on their "clique" and only their "clique". Thats the only downfall to this school. If you don't fit in with the small town of people, then you have to learn to be okay with walking the hallways alone.
Review St. Clair High School
I have had a good experience in Saint Clair High School. The school has an exceptional dedication to students' pursuit of academics and athletics. The teachers are very encouraging and willing to help student to achieve. I always feel that the school has a high expectation of the students and promotes student achievement. Saint Clair High School has many positive attributes, but lacks the resources to make a student's experience exceptional. In regards to college readiness, the school has fallen short in helping students to move to the next level of education. The focus of the school is high school achievement, yet there is very little focus placed on careers or education.

If I were consulting someone on whether or not they should go to Saint Clair High School, I would advise against it. Although I have met great people and done well in the area of sports, I believe that I would achieve higher at a school that has the resources to push students further.
St. Clair High School is the leading high school in the area in academics. There are Advanced Placement classes in almost every subject and most students expect to get a three or higher on the national exam. The variety of clubs and organizations available means there is something for everyone. Teachers oversee the operation of the clubs, but most pride themselves on being lead by the students. This provides great opportunities for students to make their voices heard. The school possess an overall student teacher bond that is hard to find anywhere else. Teacher's expect students to ask for help and are happy to answer questions. Discussions are popular and a lesson may be set aside to discuss events in the news or take a survey of the classes opinions. Many lessons are related back to real life because teacher's understand that students wonder when they will use classroom topics in the real world. For example, my physics teacher used you-tube videos to have the class calculate the velocity of skateboarders, or to determine the height of the cliff that an extreme diver jumped from. Without the positive attitude and energy that the teachers used to go above and beyond inside and outside of the classroom I know my high school experience would not have been as enjoyable.
