I love attending St. Catherine's because of its traditions and diverse student population. There are so many activities to get involved in including sports, clubs, and service projects; you just have to take the initiative! The academics are challenging and the teachers are dedicated and really care about the students and prepare us for college. At 150 years old, the school is old but has character and many stairs. Because so many alumni visit and attend sporting events, I wish the school could build an elevator so everyone can keep coming back to support their alma mater.

I could not be happier with choosing St. Cats for my son's high school. Just last night I attended the Back to School Night to meet his teachers for the semester and they are absolutely amazing. Talk about dedication and knowing and caring about each one of their students! It's not the neighborhood or the building that makes St. Cats special, its the community every student will find and feel within those walls and within a community of Angels nationwide once they move on. It's a pretty special place.
Over the past four years, I have watched it slowly get worse and worse. They have changed a lot, especially things such as harsher (but less enforced) dress code and the grading system. The administration tells us that they do this to better ready us for college when in fact I feel as though it is worsening my chances at succeeding. My siblings have named specific teachers (some of which who have been at St. Cats for 30 plus years) who actually have prepped them for what they experienced at college. These few teachers have been teaching for a long time and know exactly what we, as students, need to succeed. Administration deem it alright to completely change the grading system and how these few teachers taught, therefore messing up a school system that has been in place for many years and that has been proven to work. St Catherine's has been going downhill and I only see it getting worse from a students (and my parents) perspective as well.
