St. Benedict is a college preparatory school, and it lives up to that, academically. In terms of giving students college-like responsibilities, the faculty tends to send important documents to the parents instead of the students, thus making students, even the seniors, dependent on their parents for necessary documents. All in all, the school is academically sound with a nice environment. It is a Catholic school though, so there are weekly masses and mandatory theology classes.
Review St. Benedict at Auburndale School
Saint Benedict overall is an amazing school. There's great academics and there are some really amazing teachers. Our pep rallies are some of the most memorable moments throughout my four years. There are also many different sports programs, including: football, soccer, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, bowling, trap shooting, and tennis. We may not be the best at the main sports but we do have one of the best bowling teams in Tennessee. Overall SBA is a great school. Everyone is nice and accepting and a majority of the students go on to a 4-year college.
This year a school nurse was a great addition! She is in the health room almost all day, Monday through Friday. Students can go to her when needed, for any needs. Our security guard is around whenever there are people at the school, providing me with a great sense of safety, and all exterior doors lock after the tardy bell and after about 3:15 in the afternoon.
