St. Augustine High School Reviews
Rating 4.29 out of 5 177 reviews
Most class subjects were easy to understand and participate/keep up with, however for the better part of my high school career I've had many teacher(s) each year that completely ruin the workflow for the entire year. The majority of the teachers are easy to adapt to and very good at their job, but there are just some bad apples that you're guaranteed to run into during your high school career. Luckily enough for the new Freshmen, most of the bad apples have either retired or have been fired, but unfortunately there are still some persistent ones. Everyone acknowledges that the bad teachers are there, but 95% of the students don't seem to want to do anything about it and they'd all just tank a worse grade because they don't care. Some teachers on this campus are harder to understand than the actual course itself, and I'm sure if you asked any Junior or Senior in the student body they'd be able to tell you who they are.
I have been at Saint Augustine High School for 4 years. My experience at Saints has been very good. We have a lot of fun in the "pit" and I have participated in a lot of on campus events. Freshman year was a lot of fun and I had all the support that I needed to succeed. I was pared with a Senior student mentor who guided me through the halls at the school and showed me what Saints was all about. Most of my teachers are very good and care about the success of the students. Academically I was challenged and supported. I really liked having an all male environment because I could be myself and find a strong male brotherhood that I hope will last a lifetime. At Saints, you will find a well balanced school that challenges you to grow in character, faith, leadership, while preparing you to be successful in college. I have often heard from Alumni that their experience at Saints has made them strongly prepared for College. To the extent that the college work load often seemed much easier
Amazing teachers, counselors, coaches and so many opportunities for the students to enjoy such as clubs, sports, and other extracurricular activities.
