I mean don’t get me wrong they have some great teachers, but they have a couple of staff members that are rude and out to get you. There is actually a bet among the teachers to see who gives the most dress codes. For instance, one of my friends was wearing jeans (just like the 100 other girls in the cafeteria) and one of the lunch ladies (who is known for being in on the bet) tried to dress code her saying she was wearing leggings, even after she showed had her pants have belt loops and a button. The lunch lady was harassing my friend so much so, that another lunch lady actually stepped in and defended my friend. Also other members of the staff (including teachers) that are in on the bet, will stare at the girls butts in the cafeteria to determine if they are wearing the right pants. There was actually one morning when I saw a teacher continuously staring at several girls butts in the few minutes I was there. Meanwhile boys with pants sagging WAY to low walk right past them.
While the education is good and the teachers are okay and can convince the parents with the overall appeal of the appearance of the school, it’s nothing grand. The school makes sure to put people who the closest to being white and puts them on a pedestal and makes it easier for them to succeed. The school also makes sure that if you know someone then you can remain on top for anything athletic and be apart of a team that doesn’t really need you and takes away from talented people who deserves the spot more.
STA was very comforting after losing one of my bestfriends during my freshman year. They made sure all of her loved ones were okay and left their doors open during this struggle for our class.
The school did amazing preparing me for the real world and getting me ready for college. The teachers help the kids understand what is needed for tests. They also help kids understand what is expected in college.
My favorite part about St. Amant high is that they try there best to let the students have the best high school experience. They have many different clubs that allows students to interact with other students. One big thing that I loved about the school was there allied health classes. St. Amant high ( sta ) has a lot of interesting classes like medical assistant and patient care tech, these classes allow the students to take a certification at the end of the year and if they pass they are allowed to work either in a hospital or an old folks home. The one thing that is not so great about sta is , some of the teachers don’t help the students when they are struggling. For example, a student could come to the teacher for help and even ask for extra credit but the teacher with still say no. But, sta also has free tutoring for everyone who is in math and English classes. This helps the students be more prepare. Overall sta is a great school to attend.
I just recently started going to St. Amant this year, I transferred from Dutchtown High in September. So far, my experience has been better than expected, especially considering everything that’s going on with COVID-19. My teachers have done a great job at welcoming me to a new school and I’ve been able to keep up my grades, even with some online school.
St. Amant was a great high school. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. It was like one big family. I enjoyed how they kept traditions each year and cared so much about the student body. Go Gators!
I am a junior, and it is an okay school (as good as high school can get, I guess). It has a lot of extracurricular and club activities that can interest any student. Everyone has a place to go and it has many opportunities.
Most teachers are cool but some students can be quite aggravating and low key racist. But overall, if you find a group of friends that you are comfortable with, stick with them and you won’t be involved in any unnecessary drama.
I love my High School the Administrators and Staff are just amazing people and they help make your high school experience so much more efficient.
St.Amant is such a wonderful school. They have great administration, facility, and students. There school is very based off good learning skills, and becoming successful. It's also a great place to meet lots of new friends, and breaking out of that hard shell of shyness. You meet lots of new people when getting involved, especially with sports, and other clubs.
I graduated in 2018, and loved my time at this school. They offer many Dual Enrollment classes and prepared me well for college life. Great school size with great teachers that want to see you do well.
Everyone there is always willing to help you succeed and do your best! Everyone tries to allow all the students to see that they have the ability to graduate and do great things after graduation!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at St. Amant. All of the teachers were so nice and very helpful, I made tons of new friends and learned a lot. Geaux Gators!
It is truly an amazing school, the staff there are willing to help anyone with anything anyway they can.
The way STA prepares you for college is on another level compared to most schools in our area. Teachers take the time to prepare you for both college and trade schools. Their commitment to help you succeed is like no other.
There are a lot of activities and the curriculum is challenging. The staff are well trained to help students.
