St. Agnes School Reviews

3 reviews
Not a welcoming environment. I chaperoned a field trip and was surrounded by teachers and other parents who did not speak one word to me. It was an awkward experience; I had another parent to tell me the exact same thing happened to her when she chaperoned a field trip. The only parent to openly have a conversation with me was fishing for information about my life and income. The acceptance of diversity is an issue there. I've had students tell my African American child that all she eats is fried chicken and call her a variety of African American "sounding" names that were not hers. During her years at this school she has been called a slave, Black Labrador, and the Black Sea. Just recently they had to have a group assembly that discussed the use of racial slurs. Not until my children attended this school did they realize their skin color mattered and it put them in a different category as everyone else.
