I am a senior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Spruce Creek. I am very grateful for the academic and social opportunities I have been granted as a student. Over the last couple years, I have become more involved in my community, created strong relationships with teachers, and helped develop a supportive environment among my peers within each of my classrooms. Overall, our school truly does offer exceptional academic resources; it is even conveniently located near Daytona State College where students can go take college courses and earns credits. One thing I would like to see improved is our schools security. Keeping students safe should always be the number one concern by administration. We do have policies put in place; however, they are not consistently practiced by all of the faculty. If everyone works together, we can accomplish great measures of safety.

My experience with Spruce Creek High School was great! I am currently a senior at the High School and is currently dual enrolled at Dayton State College. Ever since this year has started only having one period at the high school I begin to miss the high school atmosphere. Going into adulthood very shortly with college, work, and life ahead of me I will miss the four years of my high school life and I will admit that I am glad I was able to spend the past four years of my life at Spruce Creek. Once a Hawk always a Hawk!
I specifically did the IB program at this school, and if it was solely that I would probably rate this school 5 stars. Within the IB program, though the content is hard, I absolutely adore it. Most of the teachers are fun, innovative, and effective, but also legitimately concerned with their students' well being, something I find both endearing and remarkable. The community is also extremely supportive and engaging, and I appreciate it. Outside of the IB community there are other academies, sports, and a wide range of AP classes. Overall, though there may be a problem with cleanliness and the like, I really do enjoy the school.
