Springfield High School a small, small town school. Large emphasis is placed on sports; however, not much success is really found in that department. There are quite a few enthusiastic teachers who love what they do and bring great qualities and ideas to their lessons; however, I feel as though the teachers’ enthusiasm is not met with an equal reaction from local government or administration. At times, the school can feel a little unorganized. There are some extracurriculars and clubs available (some of which do great things in their local communities and for students), but they are few and far between. Although a few testing opportunities are present, I feel as though the school puts little to no emphasis or focus on their students’ post high school lives (university or work-related). Overall, a fairly average experience academically. I enjoyed my experience here and carry many great memories from my time here.

During my four years at Springfield High School, not only did the school equip me with the education required to become a successful and intelligent student but also helped mold me into the upstanding member of society that I am today. Surrounded by affectionate, attentive, and motivating staff I was given a sense of belonging and security. Activities such as pep rallies, food drives, and spirit weeks brought forth attributes within myself that incite self pride. I could not have attended a more beneficial school than Springfield High School.
Springfield High School was a good experience, but at most times it felt as though sports were more important rather than education.
