What I really liked about my experience was that it let me balance school along with my extracurriculars that is good for my future.
Springfield Catholic High School is a rigorous academic curriculum in a faith-based education environment. My two children attended for high school. Our school lacks diversity because the area lacks diversity overall and I definitely wish their was more focus on the arts. Sports is a huge focus for kids who are interested in playing.
i think Springfield catholic offers a great eduction and all of the teachers want the best for there students
Transferred from Springfield Public Schools. Smaller classes, more demanding courses/teachers. Our son loves it.
It's a lovely school that treats its students like family someone is always there to lend a helping hand.
It was okay. Lots of rich mean kids and bad sports programs. But I mean its Catholic. The academics didn't prepare you at all for college, there wasn't even A+ program.
I have been in the Springfield Catholic School system my entire life and it has been my home of as long as I can remember. When I came into the high school they made the most efficient transition possible. I wouldn't change anything, except, the fact that I wish more people could experience the school environment and the content aroma that I get the ability to on a daily basis.
This high school prepared me for college as best as it could. Most of the teachers are very friendly and are more than happy to provide assistance.
Springfield Catholic was a great school and I loved going there. I learned so much here and grew up into the person I am today. I got to be involved in so many fun experiences and got to be a part of so many amazing things.
This school provides an excellent education and does a great job preparing students for the real world even if the rules can be a little strict at times. Despite plenty of resistance in the beginning, the house system is successful in fostering closer relationships among the students and their peers. This schools knows the importance of being an upstanding citizen and makes sure that its students know too.
SCHS was the best school I ever attended. There is a HUGE opportunity at this school with a variety of clubs ranging from Leadership, Sports Fans, to bowling and Board Games. The classes are easy-going but at the same time filled with intensive learning in order to get ahead. Want to prep for college? This is the place, but, you have to work for it and go out of your way to establish yourself.
My overall experience as a high schooler at Springfield Catholic High School was great. Surrounded by an environment that felt like family and being in a setting with such high standards across all aspects. Not only the academic skills but life skills I learned at that high school has helped me become the person I am today and is helping me excel now and hopefully in the future.
Super awesome community. The school prepares students extremely well through rigorous academic programs. The athletics are top-notch except girls basketball. The girl's basketball coach is rude and abrasive.
I love the community that my school builds, I know everyone and I can ask any teacher for help at any time. If there was one thing that I could change about my school if would be that we had more classes. I know this is unrealistic because it is such a small school, but that would be what I would change.
Springfield Catholic is pretty good, overall, but there are a few areas of concern. The administration can be quite oppressive sometimes when it comes to dissidents of views. The house system is a poor system that the admins insist on using though many students find as a waste of time.
Springfield Catholic is like a small family. Everyone is very close and the class sizes are small. I've loved my time here and feel prepared for college.
This school was nice for me personally because the stability of the always having the same small group of people with you was nice, however the school focuses far too much on micro managing lives of students rather than dealing with teachers that are dysfunctional. But hey, this a middle class teenager who has a bone to pick with most everything talking. I am sure the experience can vary.
