I enrolled at Spring Valley High School because I was locked out of choice-in at Blythewood High School. However, now becoming a senior I look back and am happy that I landed where I did. The student body is very diverse and the majority of teachers do want you to succeed (it's whether or not YOU want to succeed). I have had very few problems during my time at Spring Valley, and when they do pop up, I can confidently approach a teacher or administrator about the matter. The school is a bit on the older side (its celebrating its 50th anniversary the year I write this) so the construction feels a bit dated but what can you do? Knock down the whole school? Overall, my experience at Spring Valley has been second to none: Go Vikings!

I love Spring Valley because it has the spirit like no other school. We are a family! This school offers so many great options for students. We help out with the community like no other school I know of. Spring Valley also is one of the top 20 schools in South Carolina for one of the best education. This school really helps by encouraging you and making sure you are where you need to be or beyond. They also make sure they will protect you and gain your confidence. Spring Valley is a school who will have your back one hundred percent.
I recently graduated Spring Valley High Scool about a month ago, and I must say, it has greatly improved in the 4 years I attended there. The first year, 2015, was a little shaky, with the entire incident involving the police officer and all. However, the school's reputation has since improved, thanks to our stellar principal, Jeff Timoney, and the great staff that works at the school. I am no longer attending the school, but one thing I always wanted to see were more diverse club options. There are plenty to choose from, of course, but more are always welcome, like that Video Game Club I wanted to propose but never did...
I also would've liked more stylized/personalized tutoring options in the library. Sometimes what people were going over in tutoring wasn't specifically what I needed. Overall, though, my experience with my high school was a positive one.
