I've truly enjoyed my time at Spring Valley High School. The faculty is full of people who care about each student, and work with them to make sure they are successful. They are so passionate about their work and helping students with future decisions, and love to celebrate achievements of each student. Going to school, I feel cared for and I know that no matter what, I can turn to teachers and guidance counselors for help with anything. The personal connections I've made in high school will follow me throughout college, and I am so thankful!

I enrolled at Spring Valley High School because I was locked out of choice-in at Blythewood High School. However, now becoming a senior I look back and am happy that I landed where I did. The student body is very diverse and the majority of teachers do want you to succeed (it's whether or not YOU want to succeed). I have had very few problems during my time at Spring Valley, and when they do pop up, I can confidently approach a teacher or administrator about the matter. The school is a bit on the older side (its celebrating its 50th anniversary the year I write this) so the construction feels a bit dated but what can you do? Knock down the whole school? Overall, my experience at Spring Valley has been second to none: Go Vikings!
Spring Valley High School is a school which contains a strong academic importance, various extra-curricular activities, multiple clubs, and a large amount of diversity. There are many classes offered here which helps develop a pathway for one's future. Personally, I am currently part of Spring Valley's magnet program called Discovery and this program helps me challenge myself greatly, but also provides me with the necessary resources to be successful. The teachers, administrators, and principal are friendly as well. Although sometimes the workload is high for certain classes, with continued persistence and assistance from the teachers, the students can definitely finish the work. Socially, I believe that this high school can produce long-lasting friendships, but also amazing, new friendships which can impact one's high school life in a positive way. Overall, I believe Spring Valley High School is a great school for success in academics and sports, but also for social connections.
