Recent graduate of SLP. The environment of the school was always welcoming. The students were able to give their opinions and were able to express their feelings towards an important subject; for example, when a racist event occurred during the school year, the student body was able to create a peaceful sit down in the middle of the main area during an assigned portion of the school day. Over 100 students participated and many teachers got involved too and spoke to the student body to ensure that they have been heard.
Study resources were readily available and assigned teachers were available after school for each subject to help students who were struggling.

Diversity is even better now than when I was a student. The teachers care about your success and have the resources needed to help you make that a reality. The school has undergone huge remodeling and development. Mobility-accessible and great support staff.
There are huge opportunities for academic advancement; the freshman Ignite program, AP and honors classes, STEM programs, Opportunities in Emergency Care, embedded college, 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative, English Learners Program, and more. From special needs with IEP's to Gifted learning at Lighthouse, the spectrum of learning is covered.
There's an extracurricular for every taste- over 30 activities, 25 sports, and a dozen fine arts offerings from which to choose! If you're a student and you're bored, you're making a dedicated effort to be bored.

Being a student of Spring Lake Park High School since Sophomore year, gave me the opportunity to get familiar with the school and explore the great options it offers for us, students. Even though I started High School in the US since Sophomore year, the friendly environment of Spring Lake Park welcomed me so warmly, so I fit into the system quickly. The school is getting renovated every year with modern furniture and learning systems, so there isn’t any specific thing I would like to change about Spring Lake Park High School.
