The Sports Leadership and Management of Nevada is an all around amazing school. It has an outstanding educational program that caters to all learning types by offering a wide variety of educating techniques. SLAM offers a variety of afterschool clubs to include all students. They also offer a wide variety of sports and welcome students with open arms and many opportunities. SLAM is a family oriented and diverse community. In my experiences at SLAM, I have never felt unwelcomed or unincluded. The teachers and staff give amazing efforts to connect with there students to ensure that they are educationally and mentally sound. I am proud to say that I have progressed as a individual and as a student over my four years of attendance. I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to attend SLAM during my high school years.
The staff and administration is extremely involved in student activities and they wish for each and every individual to succeed in school as well as beyond graduation. As the Valedictorian senior spending my last year at SLAM Academy after 5 years of enrollment, I can truly say the differences of my education from my first day leading up to my final day at this school. I remember when the building was under construction for both halves of the building and the teachers did everything they could to accommodate to their students.
Based on my experience at Sports Leadership and Management Academy, I enjoy the sports incorporated into education. However, an issue I have encountered at this school is the size of the building. It is too small for the number of students that attend, and I think the school would benefit from expanding. The small amounts of students in each class is good considering I have more one on one time with the teachers. Besides that, I still think that an expansion of the building is important.
