Sparta senior high school is your average high school. While the teachers put in a lot of effort to try and make there classes fun and engaging the ruining point is that the students don't care and as a result the teachers have to "dumb down" the subject so students can pass. This results in punishing those that do care about what there learning. While the school was recently built it is not capable of handling the increase in students that we have experienced. This is especially evident during passing times when there is just not enough space for over a thousand students switching classes.
Sparta is a great place to go to school & grow up! There is not a lot of diversity but most folks are accepting & caring. Small school, small classes but growing by leaps & bounds. Excellent teachers who care about their students. Great programs for advancement - AP, Honors, KCTC, etc.
My experience with Sparta Senior High School was absolutely incredible! I was dual enrolled with the high school and a home schooling program. I was enrolled in every music class available at Sparta high school, including the jazz band, concert band, wind ensemble, choir, percussion chamber ensemble, marching band and drum-line. I performed in multiple music competitions and concerts with the school and I won first place one year and second place one year in the duets portion of the Sparta area "Spartan Idol" hosted by the school. I was able to use the excellent musical education at Sparta to apply to the college where I acquired my associates degree.
