From Sparhawk School

Sparhawk School is an independent PreK-12th grade day school, with two beautiful campuses located in Amesbury, MA. By design, Sparhawk is experiential, with small class sizes, and a progressive approach to education.

For many families, the Sparhawk journey begins in our Lower School Program. Nature-based and play-focused, our school invites creativity and exploration, and grows lifelong confident learners. Sparhawk Upper School curriculum includes Project-based learning and small, socratic-based, classes that offer the space to go beyond the textbook and focus on inquiry and demonstration.

Our students engage with the global community through service, immersive education, and travel. They have a generosity of spirit and respect the culture of kindness they build together at our school. Your child will maintain their individuality while building a community that supports academic exploration, social-emotional health, applied learning and civic engagement.

Project Based Learning at Sparhawk

Project Based Learning is a hands & minds-on curriculum where students collaborate to solve real-world problems, and communicate these solutions in a variety of mediums. PBL is the backbone of a Spahawk education. The PBL process is taught and reviewed specifically in elective courses, embedded in daily classes, and is the focus of our semester-long Winterim Master Class at the Upper School.
