I have loved the past 4 years that I have spent at Southwestern High School. As a freshman, I was so scared of high school. But looking back as a senior, I have made so many unforgettable memories with amazing friends. I also was taught by incredible teachers who truly care about the well being and education of their students.
What values are taught here? Students (such as natalee foster) go around saying the n word and spewing hate speech all over social media. I hope there are repercussions for this.
The teachers there are very supportive for your decisions. They make sure you are on track and where you need to be to be who and what you want. Very positive atmosphere and environment. Thank you for everything this school has done and will continue to do with and for me.
I’m a current sophomore and so far my experience has been pretty great. The teachers are always willing to help me out and make sure I’m reaching my highest potential for academic and personal greatness.
Southwestern was a great experience for me during my 4 years there. All of the teachers and staff are truly there to push you to better yourself and to succeed in life and your education. Although you may face obstacles, as you would in any situation, everyone at Southwestern High School is there to help you along the way.
I experience teachers who don't focus much on students at all in school. They don't care very much about what the students do. Students vape in class and some teachers just don't notice or seem to care. Most of the students in my school are rude, with a lack of patience and manners. Other than those flaws, It's a normal high school.
I loved my time at Southwestern High School. These last four years have been some of the best. I have made lifelong friends here, gotten a great education here, and I am sad to leave in the next few months.
My experience in Southwestern High school was very good. I feel like I am college and career ready. With all the challenging course work was very similar to a college like setting.
This school has a wide variety of opportunities to earn college credit while in high school. There are many AP and Dual Credit classes. This is the biggest advantage of this school.
My four years at Southwestern were possibly my favorite so far. Southwestern has amazing teachers, faculty, and an administration that gets things done. At Southwestern there is a very diverse scene, rather it be racially diverse, or politically diverse. Most everyone at Southwestern has respect for one another and they are very few big problems we have within the school.
The teachers are very supportive and want what's best for the students, although, too much emphasis is put on sports and clubs, and the arts programs like choir and drama/theater are often overlooked and unappreciated.
I loved the staff at Southwestern High school. All my teachers were great. Mr. Hargis, my advisor, is the best. He has went above and beyond my expectations in assisting me in graduating and getting ready for college. Mr. Hargis has never made me feel like I can't come to him with any problem big or small. He always makes time for me and if he doesn't know the answer I need, then he finds the answer for me. No problem big or small, no question is ever dumb. I hope I continue to have great people in my life like Mr. Hargis.
I really enjoyed high school, there was many opportunities to grow and try new things. There was an array of extracurricular activities and plenty of classes to choose from. There could have been more instructors there to teach the individual classes to lighten their workload, but the faculty for the most part was very encouraging and understanding.
I enjoy going to southwestern high school because I feel like I’m in a safe and comfortable learning environment. Southwestern also tends to be up to date on the newest technology for the classroom, which is always a good thing when it comes to figuring out new and improved ways to learn.
I absolutely loved southwestern; however, I would love to see more effort but into making the students feel like they had an opinion that mattered to the staff.
My experience at this high school has been very good. The teachers are great and if needed they will help you as much as they can.
My favorite thing about the school is the diversity of the available classes, ranging anywhere from engineering to nursing, as well as the programs at the area technology center.
