I came into Southridge never attended a public school before, so I was scared to say the least. I had went to a private Lutheran school from Preschool to 8th grade as a matter of fact. In 8th grade, I had about 14 other classmates, and going to Southridge I had about 400 classmates. It was a big adjustment, and it went amazingly. I opened up, did sports, made tons of friends, and chose my career path. My teachers at Southridge were outstanding, and I would recommend SHS to anyone and everyone.
I love this school so much, Everyone is always there for each other and teachers are always available to help and answer any questions at all !
Southridge is a good community but more than capable of improvement. Our school, like many others, has fallen back in the pandemic with opportunities for students to explore what school is really about.
This year is mine last year and I am sad, Because Southridge high school is a great school! I love all the teachers they are really the nicest people ever. Also we can't forget about the paraeducator they too are very kind, caring and helpful . The best times in school was are whoop whoop days every Friday some teachers would be selected to receive a little treat (something small) but I love to see the teacher happy. All teacher want to see you success in life they is so much help they offer to help you success.
I absolutely loved the friendliness and welcoming spirit of all the staff and students at Southridge. It always provided a safe, inclusive, and exciting atmosphere. It was an amazing place for students to learn, thrive, become involved, and prepare for their futures. I had a wonderful time at Southridge and will miss it when I go!
There is nothing to change about Southridge they are a very nice School and i will recommend you going here
I loved Southridge High School because of the atmosphere all around. I've made amazing friendships here at Southridge, along with the teachers. From all AP classes I've taken, the teachers have done extremely well with preparing me for what college life will be. I've gained several friendships with the teachers too. They are great at making sure you understand the material, especially in times like this. With remote learning, teaching had been tougher than ever. But, with their understanding and involvement, they've been able to connect with students extremely well under these circumstances.
Southridge is a very safe and highly recommended school. While this school is not very diverse, the administration is aware and works on equity.
I was new to Southridge my junior year of high school and I didn't know where to start. All the amazing students and teachers there help me fit in within the first week of school. From assemblies and football games, to AP tests and SAT registrations, Southridge had it all. If you every had a question, it will be highly likely you will get it answered!
The teachers are really kind, caring, and helpful. You're able to go into their classroom almost whenever you need and they are always more than happy to help you out. The students are also welcoming and are always willing to help out.
I love the amazing staff that works there. You can truly tell they care about their students and the students well-being. Amazing peers as well. Would like to see more inclusive activities and better school spirit from students.
I like everything about southridge and there nothing I would change and I just graduated from there this year
Southridge High School has always been an extremely welcoming school. Not only do the teachers inspire others, but there is an air of warmth that really uplifts students. This atmosphere is so unique and I am very grateful for all of the support and effort from the teachers to help mold Southridge into what it is today!
Southridge High School has given me many great opportunities and experiences in the past three years. The courses challenge me, but are made possible with the help of caring teachers, staff members, and other faculty. Southridge offers a variety of classes, so students can enroll based on their interests or needs. The teachers are very involved and spirited, participating in assembly games, dress up for spirit days, and attend games to support their students. It is clear that all staff members care about their students' success and well being. The students are typically spirited, kind, and encourage others to be successful. There are many programs available to help students succeed and become more involved with their school. One of my favorite experiences is being on the Southridge cheer team. I have met a variety of wonderful and supportive people through this school and am thankful to be attending Southridge.
I like it there its a nice school love the sports and coaches best except for football. Teachers and counslers are good.
Southridge in all alright school, with much room for improvement. Some teachers were kind-hearted and encouraging, while others were extremely harsh and uninspiring. The building itself is average at best, as it was built based off of old jail blue prints.
I liked some of the teachers, they are either seen as good by everyone or bad by everyone individually. I would like to see better sources of counselors, the school counselors do not seem to be qualified for talking about personal issues, they are mainly there for class changes, signing up for SATs, etc.
