Growing up in Shreveport and being a product of the public school system, having my child at Southfield was never even on my radar as a possibility.

"We all want the best for our children", I wrote in an email, "unfortunately, the financial obligation is one we cannot bear". My heart was broken. It wasn't that my boy wasn't good enough, it was just that his dad couldn't afford it, even with the financial aid.

5 minutes after I sent that email I received a call. "Is the money the only thing holding you back?" they asked. I responded with "uh..yeah..". After a couple talks, we cohesively came up with a plan and helped me provide my son with the best education possible.

The faculty and administration at Southfield genuinely care about these kids and desire to develop a "lifelong love of learning".
Southfield is such an amazing school. My love and appreciation for it simply cannot be put into words. The level of education and quality of staff is extraordinary and students leave beyond prepared for high school.
