I had an above average experience at Southern Columbia High School. The teachers I met and interacted with were very knowledgeable and kind in their own unique ways. It's also a very accepting and diverse school for people to apply and join, with many clubs and activities to look into. The food could obviously need a little upgrading, but not everyone is ever going to love one thing. Another thing that could be improved is parent involvement all around for the school.
What I like about Southern Columbia is that it is a very small school. This means that the class sizes are about 9-15 people so you can get all the hands on experience you want. It is a very safe school as well. Not a day has gone by in all my years at Southern have I ever felt unsafe. Everyone is friendly. Yeah every school has their groups but no matter what group your in, the other groups will still talk to you. The sports at Southern are amazing. almost all of our sports teams make it to districts. Even though we win a lot aat sports, we don't let it get to our heads or make us have a big ego.
Southern was a very welcoming school. The teachers are all willing to help their students and since the school and classes are small, it is easy to form bonds with the teachers and know that they are there for you if you need their help.
