I went to Southern Aroostook Community School since I was three years old and going into Pre-K, I have been there all the way up through and I am now a Senior. My experience there has been great, the class sizes are small which allows teachers one-on-one time with students who have questions. The sports are open to anyone who is interested. They are great ways to make friends and learn team work, leadership, and responsibility. High school students are offered the opportunity to take on higher level college course through nearby colleges as a way to advance their education. I took some myself and I enjoyed them, and found them to be very beneficial.

Southern Aroostook is a small quiet school in Northern Maine. I've been a Southern Aroostook since kindergarten, so this is the only school I have been to. I like the teachers in our school, they are very nice and you know them at a personal level because of our local surrounding towns being so closely knit. The food is poor, but so isn't a lot of our surrounding schools. There is very little diversity in Southern Aroostook which stinks. Southern Aroostook though is very close-knitted, we are like a family and we all know each other to a personal level which I like.
Southern Aroostook is average in academics, they do try but their resources are very limited. the conditions are poor, this year the boiler broke and kids had to move to the warmest parts of the school to learn and eventually we were sent home and got a day off. The ceilings often leak and you can tell just by looking at them. Our food is almost the exact same thing every week and has also been served old. I think if the school had more money it would be a great facility because they could fix the school and add more activities.
