I moved back to the district before I had a surgery because I had one very young child and a teen child who was testing even her mother. I knew returning to my elder daughter’s home district was best for my family. My eldest became a better student and graduated collage. My youngest with an high iq can be frightened easily. I’ve never had to ask a teacher in the district to be careful. My youngest had a little moment of bullying but as soon as I communicated the problem it was taken care of quickly. The teachers give more then what is expected. If you don’t pay attention you might not even know because they don’t need recognition.
Not every school is perfect! I thought the grass is always greener in the other district... our family is proof it doesn’t always have to be greener (more money) ... to meet the social, emotional and academic need of each child and family.

Over the years attending Southeastern, I have faced many challenges. Whether that be challenged by last night's math homework or just challenged by everyday activities. This is a very good school with good intentions, but just like any school it could use some improvements. I think we should enforce the teachers and staff to become more involved with their students. This means a simple, "how are you doing?" could make that child feel better and cared for. I am not saying our staff doesn't care, that's not the case at all. Overall, I have further enjoyed my time at Southeastern Jr/Sr High School.
The most positive part of Southeastern is the friendliness of the teachers. They realize how smothering the rules can be and are lenient depending on who you have class with. I feel like some rules make sense, but some are far too much. Like the dress code, as well as the no drinks form outside the school are pushed to hard.
Southeastern provided a very standard version of high school. The problem with this is they make it seem like we’re different form other schools around us, while we do many of the same things with more suffocating rules. The food is poor as well as the education. The sports teams aren’t good at all either weather it’s poor coaching, or the kids, they’re bad. I would like to see these things change for the better so that the experience that is had here at Southeastern is better for the future generations.
