It's an awesome campus! Staff and teachers are lovely, and they always do their best to fix the needs of the students. Their food is by far the best school food that money can buy. Not to mention that their technological advancements are insane. Every classroom is provided with enough laptops for every student. Everyone is so friendly and they always try to bring out the best in everyone. Their medical programs are extraordinary, and they certify their students in 2-year college certifications, like medical assisting, Emergency medical services, phlebotomy technician, pharmacy technician, dental assistant, and opthamology assistant. They provide unique lab equipment and tools that you would only see in colleges. Their students get over 2000 hours of clinical rotations by the end of their senior year and spend enough time job shadowing physicians and nurses. If your child is interested in anything that deals with the medical field, I would 100% reccommend this school.
It's a hit or miss school, there are great teachers in just about every department, but when a teacher is bad, they're BAD. Clubs do not get near the amount of funding they should. There are maybe two clubs that get adequate funding(one is arguably the most useless and the other is everyone's favorite), that being student council and HOSA. Administration has never once asked students what they might like to see change on our campus, nor do they try to address current and existing problems. There is a second class citizen mentality. RSA students will have preference in just about every situation, despite their academic status. Not only are they receiving preference, but they're recieving trips that other students don't have access to. The school culture is pretty toxic, ask just about any student who came from somewhere that it isn't RSA. If you're willing to deal with this sort of stuff, it's for you. It's unfortunate that I should even have to say that.
This school is perfect for students who are interested in finding a career in the medical field. During senior year, the school offers different medical certifications such as dental assistant, certified ophthalmic assistant, pharmacy technician, certified medical assistant, phlebotomy, and emergency medical services which most students anticipate for in their freshman year. The teachers are excellent in bonding with students and helping students understand the concepts and skills in their class.
