The school is a great learning environment, with a variety of students and teachers from all over the Rio Grand Valley. The faculty encourages student involvement, seeking an advanced education, and working with others to achieve one common goal. The courses offered are either AP courses, IB courses, or classes with UTRGV to gain college credits.
Review South Texas Business Education & Technology Academy
I've been at this school since my freshman year. I'm a junior now, and still happily at this school. As an incoming freshman there was something called NSA, where we gathered in groups of different sorts and did all these activities to learn and get to know each other and make friends since incoming freshman don't know anyone. On the first day of school we met with our Kick Off Mentors that talk to us throughout the year and are there to guide us throughout the year , and these kivk off mentors are students themselves ,for which you apply at the end of your sophomore and answer questions that will qualify you to be a mentor. That i found quite intresting because most public schools wouldn't offer anything like that. We have clubs for absolutely anything and if there isn't one in particular you found to you liking you can request to make such a club. The technology field was my favorite because you learn so much about technology thay you never knew . Theres all these programs installed that guide you with anything. And when i leave im definitely going to miss their resources and the family i made there
Attending BETA has given me more opportunities to expand and improve on my future than I would have ever thought necessary. BETA offers the International Baccalaureate, AP, Dual/Concurrent programs for each student who's willing to take on the challenge. Being a student at this school has been a wonderful opportunity, and I recommend enrolling to anyone interested.
